With its natural wood panels, long benches and a warm glow from the lampshades hanging above, Txirrita Sidreria is a lively yet homely Basque cider house. The bar took its name as a homage to Jose Manuel Lujanbio Retegi, a Basque performer and storyteller who loved to sing songs about food and drink. The large dining hall can seat up to 210 diners and is perfect for large group bookings. When it comes to having a traditional experience, order a sharing platter to the table so the whole party can enjoy the moment. As for the cider, officially it’s in season from late January to early April, but at Txirrita Sagardotegia there’s enough to go around all year.
