The trendy Gros district plays host to the contemporary Galerna restaurant in San Sebastian. Where maritime-inspired décor adorns the walls, welcoming you into a dining space created for only a select number of guests during each sitting. The philosophy of Galerna’s owner and head chef Rebeka Barainka is that of one that embraces the local essence and its environment. Working closely with local suppliers and rescuing those “forgotten” or undervalued ingredients, elevating them with flavours from both land and sea. In 2019 Rebeka earned the title of Best New Chef at Madrid Fusión and has since appeared in the Michelin Guide and prestigious Sol Repsol.
