Central-Eastern France and wine tours in Burgundy are among the most prolific wine-producing regions in Europe. Generations upon generations of winemaking traditions have been passed down through the years. Many of which can be dated back to old monasteries, where much of the local production originates.

Wine Tours in Burgundy will take you through the vineyards, awarded a UNESCO world heritage status in July 2015. Here you will get to meet the sommeliers and of course sample the produce first hand.

Burgundy’s main grape varieties are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, largely due to the moderate climate of the region. In total, there are four Burgundy classifications - regional, commune and two different single vineyards: premier cru and grand cru.

Wine Tours in Burgundy

Burgundy differs from the Bordeaux region, as most of the producers own areas of the same vineyard. Wines from the larger Burgundy regions are labelled as Bourgogne AC. The main rich red wine varieties include Gevry-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny, Pommard, Beaune and Volnay.

Wine Tours in Burgundy are a delicious treasure trove for wine lovers and those who are very interested in the wine culture and region.
