Brief History of Stonehenge

While the exact origins of Stonehenge are largely unknown, over the years, there have been many theories. The building is converted from “the Old Mill”, which sits along the banks of a picturesque River Avon. Originally designed as an electricity generator, the vision wasn’t able to prove cost-effective. Closing down to eventually make way for the Stonehenge Brewery in 1983.

However, 10 years later, master brewer Stig Anker Andersen relocated with his family from Denmark and took over the business in 1993. Since then, Stonehenge Brewery Tours have gone from strength to strength.
