Itinerary

One of the six historic sestieri or districts of Venice, Cannaregio was traditionally the main entranceway into the city. You will explore this wonderful neighborhood that includes Venice’s Jewish Ghetto. The word ghetto originates in Venice and your guide will explain its etymology. You will see sights full of local Venetian history in the neighborhood now full of Venice’s best food.

When exploring Venice, remember two key words—cicchetti and Bacari. Cicchetti are tasty bite-sized snacks, and Bacari are charming wine bars where you'll find these delights. During our first stop, let our guide lead you into a local Bacari where you'll be introduced to some of these tasty bites, and get introduced to the history and taste of a true Venetian Select Spritz.

After a walk through the Canareggio neighborhood, its time for our second stop.
