What you’ll do

You’ll sip your way around Edinburgh’s Old Town with one of our hosts, a fellow whiskey-lover, of course. They’ll tell you all they know about the different whiskey distilleries in the city, and impart some of the Scottish traditions and witticisms surrounding the tipple with you. You’ll sample amber liquid from various whiskey regions in the country and learn to distinguish between the different notes. Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.

Itinerary

Join your host, a self-proclaimed whiskey connoisseur, and sample some of the finest Scottish whiskies in Edinburgh - pop into Arcade Bar, a relaxed bar dedicated to haggis and whiskey with an extensive malt list

Visit a traditional whiskey cellar, like Glenkinchie, which was founded in 1825, and learn about the distillation process

IMPORTANT: As this is a private and personalised experience, the places you visit may differ from those listed and these will be chosen by your host based on your interests and preferences

Stroll through the Old Town and learn a little about the city’s whiskey history from your host

Visit a locally-loved neighborhood pub and sample more Scotch - have a dram at the Sheep Heid Inn, one of the oldest pubs in Edinburgh

Stroll through historical parts of the city like George Street
