Javier was a great tour guide. Pleasant, generous and knowledgeable. He had so much to tell us about his home city that we were late for our last stop. Can’t recommend this tour enough.

Start your trip to San Sebastian with Javier. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave us good recommendations for our time in San Sebastian. We had three vegetarians in the group and he made sure their needs were met along with the other 8 in the group. The food and wine experience far exceeded our expectations. Javier was very engaging and you could tell he cared about our group having a good time. Do not hesitate, book this tour!

Javier was our local guide who was full of information, funny and very personable. He explained San Sebastián food and family culture, showed us a part of the city we hadn’t yet been to, and allowed us to really socialize with the other folks in the tour- at the end we shared our meal together. I would definitely book another tour with Javier! Thank you!!!

Experience …Secret food tours was beyond my expectations… Javier did an amazing job explaining and sharing history facts about San Sebastián-Donostia it shows his passion for it … I ate the most delicious Pintxos and had amazing wines I will do it again and recommend it to my friends!!!

A fabulous evening in beautiful San Sebastián with our guide Javier. He took us to some amazing places for the best pintoxs and local wine - delicious Txakoli!

This tour allowed me to learn so much about San Sebastián, the food of the city and of Spain in general. Javier’s enthusiasm for how history and culture of SS influence the food scene was amazing. I was able to try foods I would’ve never ordered myself that quickly became favorites. It was an amazing experience to do as a solo traveler as I was able to experience more of the communal pinxto and dining culture.

Javier gave us an excellent introduction to San Sebastián along with our visits to pintxos bars. We enjoyed learning about the city, its history, its challenges and of course its culinary traditions while we tasted a variety of wines and pintxos. We also appreciated the suggestions Javier gave us for additional bars and restaurants. I recommend taking the tour at the beginning of your visit to San Sebastián.

Maider was a fantastic host and guide! We enjoyed our time walking with her and getting a taste of the culture in San Sebastian. While we actually did like the touristy area, she was able to show us the much more authentic side of the city which we liked even more. In fact, we loved our last stop with her so much, we made our dinner reservation there for the next night. The proprietor could not have been more welcoming to our group of eight! Thanks to Maider!
