Don’t forget to look for the Nuremberg Christkind, which can be roughly translated into “baby Jesus”, which according to tradition brings presents to children on Christmas day. There is no Santa here, but Saint Nicolaus, whose day is celebrated before Christmas, on December the 6th. The Christkind is the symbol of Christmas here, and he visits the market from Tuesday to Friday, at 3 pm. Look for his blond locks, big crown and dressed in gold dress.
