What did one tourist say to another about New York-style cheesecake? If you can bake it there, you can bake it anywhere. Jokes aside, did you know cheesecake is the official dessert of New York City? That’s correct. This creamy and indulgent treat is the pride and joy of New Yorkers and a must have when you’re in town. Perhaps there’s no better way to end a food tour than with a visit to Magnolia Bakery, a cupcake pioneer and dessert extraordinaire. For more than 25 years, this iconic bakery has been making delicious baked goods for every taste and is, now, as synonymous with New York as the Empire State Building, making it the perfect place to learn about New York cheesecake and indulge in this sweet treat.
