What you’ll do

Journey out of the city to experience the natural splendour of Montserrat, Catalonia’s most emblematic mountain, topped by a Benedictine monastery. Montserrat is an ideal trip for spending a fun day in nature, just a few kilometers away from Barcelona. Your guide brings the past to life by explaining the history and ventures of this monastery, going back nearly a thousand years. You'll also enjoy views of Montserrat whilst you savour a 3-course farm-to-table meal. Once this mountain is observed from a distance, it is easier to understand its importance when it comes to influencing the traditions and culture of the regions that surround it. Journey to Montserrat: The experience starts in the upper part of Passeig de Gràcia, before journeying to experience the splendour of Montserrat

Aeri Cable Car: Board the Aeri Cable Car to observe the area’s fascinating flora and fauna. On the way to the monastery, admire the Massif of Montserrat, a spectacular multi-peaked rocky range packed with unique needle-shaped formations

Monastery Visit: Visit the monastery, which was founded in the 10th century and still functions to this day, with over 70 resident monks. It is also well-known for hosting the figure of La Moreneta (visit not guaranteed), the patron saint of Catalonia. Your guide will share with you the history and activities of this monastery, dating back nearly 1000 years

3-Course Lunch: A bus will take you to a farmhouse, where you will have a delicious 3-course farm-to-table lunch. The first course is salad, the second course is a barbecue combination with vegetarian and halal options available, plus you'll enjoy dessert, all accompanied by stunning views
