What you’ll do

Leave the mainland behind and take a tour to the island of Korčula on this private excursion. Start in the fortified town of Ston known for its delicious mussels and oysters then traverse the vineyards of Pelješac Peninsula. In Korčula, wander narrow streets, visit St. Mark's Cathedral, and explore Marco Polo's birthplace. A stop at a family-owned winery offers tastings of local wines and brandy, and a chance to interact with the winemakers.

Itinerary

Private tour of Korcula by land with either a luxury sedan or minivan. Visit what is known as the birthplace of Marco Polo and enjoy everything this marvellous island has to offer. Stop on Peljesac along the way and choose to visit the salt-works or a wine-cellar, as well as Ston’s ancient walls, the second largest in the world. Star from dubrovnik

There are great options in Ston region of visiting oyster farms by boat driven by local producer and having traditional meal in local restaurant

The wineries that we choose to visit are small and middle size family owned wineries that make premium wines. Often winery will be presented by actual owner and wine maker.

Enjoy the beautiful green scenery, vineyards and blue bays along the way before arriving to Orebic to embark on a boat ride to the magnificent island of Korcula. Free time

Once in town, visit the cathedral, city museum, and the house of Marco Polo. Followed is free time to walk through the Old Town and its abundant souvenir shops, and have lunch at a tavern of your choice serving many delicious Dalmatian specialities.

After saying good-bye to this marvellous island, there is one last stop to be made on our return, as the Peljesac peninsula is known as one of the most famous Croatian wine regions. Enjoying in an extraordinary wine tasting is a delightful ending to the journey as we continue back to Dubrovnik.
