Indulge in a delectable range of authentic Indian cuisine across five of our favorite North and South Indian eateries located in the vicinity. Savor the flavours of India at hidden gems seldom featured in guidebooks, frequented instead by local residents seeking to discover off-the-beaten-path locales. Immerse yourself in the culinary culture with an intimate group of six to eight like-minded enthusiasts. Delve into the history of the neighborhood and explore the intricacies of Indian cuisine with a resident Indian guide, who spent their formative years in the city. Discover the art of transforming fermented rice and lentil batters into a variety of crispy, spongy, or crumbly creations to dip into chutneys. Satisfy your taste buds with the Punjabi chicken tikka, an old-timer's favorite, that has been cooked to perfection since 1977 using an age-old recipe. Lastly, for those keen on taking their knowledge of Indian cuisine to the next level, there's an optional visit to the same Indian grocery store frequented by most Indian mothers of yesteryear to expand on essential terminology such as "Masalas," "Daals," and much more.

1970s Punjabi Restaurant

Discover unimaginably tender chicken tikka at one of the oldest Punjabi restaurants in Dubai. We’ll also try a round of Paneer Tikka, spicy layered Papadums, Chana Masala, and Indian bread. Wash it all down with fresh-pressed sugarcane juice. (G/D/P)

Lassi Stop

Cool off with a glass of thick frothy lassi (D) made at our favourite lassi shop in the city. We’ll also treat you to India’s version of a spiced nutty ice cream, aka Kulfi (N/D).

The meeting point is outside the TouchMate Quality Computers Service Center on Khalid Bin Al Waleed Street, Bur Dubai. Diagonally across from Royal Ascot Hotel at a time of your choice.

Given the heavy traffic, limited parking, and different starting and ending locations, we strongly recommend that you take the metro rather than drive to the tour. If you plan to take a taxi, please allow extra time for traffic.

Kindly ensure you are punctual and reach the meeting point 10-15 minutes prior to the departure time.

We offer two types of tickets for our esteemed guests. The non-refundable ticket, once booked, cannot be changed or refunded for any reason.

If you select the flex ticket for our public tours, you have the freedom to reschedule or request a refund with a 35 AED cancellation fee per ticket, anytime up to one hour before the commencement of the tour. No changes are possible within an hour of the tour start time.

For our private tours, the flex option offers even greater flexibility. You may choose to either reschedule or receive a partial refund (70% of the total price paid) anytime up to 24 hours before the tour commences. However, any requests for changes made within 24 hours of the tour start time cannot be accommodated.
