What you’ll do

Rome is known for its millennial history, for its ancient monuments and its beautiful churches and last, but not least, its delicious food! On this highlights and food tour your guide will show you historic sites alongside with family-owned restaurants and trattorias and one of the biggest farmers markets of Italy, where you can sample some of the city's typical recipes. Your local guide will tell you about the history of the neighborhoods that you will visit and the culinary traditions and legends of the city. In Trionfale market you will walk through its numerous and colorful stands and taste some local delicacies such as crostini, pizza and some of the finest wines of the region. Come hungry!

It is one of the most known neighborhoods of the city center, with elegant buildings, high-quality restaurants and beautiful monuments.

Borgo is another historic district of Rome, located between the banks of the Tiber and the Vatican, where you can find Castel Sant'Angelo and Vittorio Emanuele II bidge.

Learn about the history and the architecture of this construction and see some interesting attractions, such as Porta Sant’Anna and Porta Angelica, used as access for the pilgrims arriving to Rome.

Passetto di Borgo is the 800-meters long elevated passage that links the Vatican with Castel Sant'Angelo, built by pope Nicholas III in 1277 and used at least two times by popes in danger as an escape way.
