What you’ll do

Sample world-famous gourmet products during a full-day tour of Italy’s Food Valley. Hotel pick-up is available or for the self-drive option, meet your guide in Parma at 8.30 AM. After which it's time to visit several artisan producers and factories. During this experience, you’ll tour factories producing Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma, along with a producer of traditional balsamic vinegar. An indulgent lunch made with traditional local products is also included.

Cheese Factory Tour: Visit an authentic producer of Parmigiano Reggiano and discover how this cheese has been made by hand for centuries, with a cheese tasting included. You'll also have the chance to view the stunning castle of Torrechiara along the way.

Ham Factory Tour: Visit a family-run factory producing Prosciutto di Parma Ham and discover why it can only be produced amongst Parma’s Hills, as well as the opportunity to taste this renowned cured meat.

Local Lunch: Savour a 3-course lunch prepared with typical produce from the area, including seasonal appetisers, a classic pasta dish, and homemade cakes. The food is paired with local wines like Lambrusco or Malvasia.

Balsamic Vinegar Producer: Visit a family-run producer of traditional Italian balsamic vinegar, including a tasting session

Kindly reach your meeting point 10-15 minutes before departure time.

Notes

The programme may undergo minor changes in the timings.

If you add the car+driver supplement from a specific town, you will be picked up at your hotel downtown. If you're staying out of town, you may be asked to pay a further supplement.

If you choose the car+driver supplement, the guide will decide whether to join you on board or drive in their own car. If you self-drive, the guide drives their own car in front of you and you follow according to the itinerary.

Lunch can be arranged at a local restaurant, the Parma ham producer, or an agriturismo, depending on availability.

Being artisanal and not industrial products, the working cycle is not repeated every day at the same time. It is not guaranteed to see craftsmen at work at each site.

Our drivers are not driver-guides - this kind of professional profile is forbidden by Italian law.

No cancellation fee up to 8 days before the tour, 50% refund from 7 to 3 days before the tour. 30% refund if cancelling with 48 hours’ notice and no refund if cancelling with 24 hours’ notice.
