What you’ll do

Grab a group of friends and get ready for some fun on this private afternoon wine-tasting tour of the Niagara, Ontario region. You’ll be picked up from your hotel and transported to Niagara-on-the-Lake and the surrounding wineries. Tour the vineyards, taste the local drop, learn more about how wine is made, and even tour the pretty town if you like. This is a customizable private tour, after all.

With your very own tasting guide - a winemaker if available - you will learn what it takes to produce their award-winning wines like Riesling and our Lemberger Reserve. The tasting includes 5-wines per person.

Stroll through the Olde Towne area of Niagara on the Lake. Window shop or visit the many boutiques, pubs, or cafes this picturesque little town has to offer. Maybe you'd rather walk down to Lake Ontario and take in the breathtaking view from the gazebo. Try to spot the CN Tower in Toronto on the other side of the lake.

Lunch is always an option at the Shaw Cafe, Cork's Pub or the Angel Inn (rumour is it's haunted).

Enjoy a 45 minute tasting experience. Select two premium table wines and one Icewine or, four premium table wines from their VQA portfolio. If you'd enjoy a snack, add cheese and/or charcuterie to accompany your tasting (additional fee)

Dr. Joseph Pohorly is a legend in the wine industry, having been actively involved since the late 1970’s and founding Joseph’s Estate Wines in 1992.For more than two decades the winemaking team has consistently been crafting fruit-forward and palate-pleasing wines staying true to Dr. Joseph’s style.You will find many interesting varietals at Joseph’s that are rare gems in the industry.

The winery began in the small German town of Uhlbach near the turn of the 19th century, when a restauranteur named Frederick Konzelmann left the culinary trade to pursue the craft of winemaking. By 1984 the Konzelmann family immigrated to Canada, purchased a lakefront peach orchard… and the rest they say, is history.

One of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s founding family wineries, founded in 1982 by Ewald Reif and later acquired by nephew Klaus W. Reif. Today, Reif produces wines from its vineyard first planted in 1977. The winery boasts one of the most sophisticated, educational tasting room experiences

During this 45-minute experience we will bring you up close to our organic vineyard, tell you all about our wine making process and fill you in on the history of this unique property.

Your tour begins with a glass of sparkling wine in our backyard, where you’ll make your way to our Estate vineyard to learn more about the unique growing region that is the Niagara Escarpment.

After you’ve explored our vineyard, you’ll descend into our underground barrel cellar where you’ll savour another tasting of our wines among 300 wine barrels.

Continuing through the cellar you’ll discover Niagara's only igloo-like lounge, the 10Below Icewine Lounge. Constructed out of a mammoth 13,607 kilos of ice and kept at a frosty 10º below zero (the ideal temperature for harvesting Icewine grapes), you’ll sample our liquid gold!

Lace up your sneakers for a 45 minute walking tour of the vineyard where you will enjoy 3 of our signature wines while getting a behind the scenes look of what goes in to making our award-winning wines! Reservations must be made at least a day prior to your visit.

DISCOVER THE VINEYARD WITH DONKEYS

Retreat from the modern world and journey back in time to our Italian roots. In this unique 1-hour experience, we will transport you to a time where farmers greatest assets were Donkeys! After learning what makes these beautiful creatures so valuable, you will take a guided tour through the pristine Colaneri Vineyard with your friendly donkey companions. Our expertly trained staff will accompany your tour with history of the property and the process from vine to wine. There will be opportunities along the way for you to lead, be close to and take pictures with the donkeys. Your journey concludes with a tasting of 3 of our wonderful wines while seated at picnic tables beside the vineyard.
