Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Val d'Orcia wine region with a full-day wine tour in Montepulciano, combining local vineyards alongside classic movie locations. Pick-up from your hotel is at 7.30 AM, visiting your first winery at Podere il Casale shortly after. Then it’s off to a 2nd family-run winery to sample the classic Brunello di Montalcino alongside a selection of unique alternatives. The tour also includes stops in both the medieval location of Montepulcino and the historic town of Pienza, along with an authentic Italian lunch. A professional sommelier/tour guide will accompany your group throughout the day.

First Stop - Montepulciano: The captivating medieval town of Montepulciano provides the first stop of the day, upon a hilltop in Southern Tuscany. Surrounded by Renaissance buildings, the town has become a must-visit for travellers ever since its appearance in the classic Hollywood blockbuster "Gladiators"

1st Winery: Visitors are invited to explore the grounds, as well as the main house to learn about organic wine-production. The wines themselves are oak-aged and bottled onsite, creating the perfect location to join your first wine-tasting session of the day.

2nd Winery: Podere il Casale: Tasting sessions will feature the natural flavour and quality of the vineyards' organic wine, as well as a chance to sample local cheese and bread manufactured onsite.

Italian Lunch: The restaurant at Podere il Casale prides itself on the benefits of working farm-to-table and it's here that includes an authentic Italian lunch before leaving your hosts for the next stop of the day.

Last Stop - Pienza: Located between Montepulciano and Montalcino, Pienza is also an example of a breathtaking medieval town. Another location in Tuscany made famous for its appearance on the big screen, Pienza is often considered a "Touchstone of Renaissance Urbanism".

Drop-off: At the end of the tour, the return journey will conveniently return to the comfort of your accommodation
