Your culinary journey over the next 3 hours will visit some of the best local off the beaten track Cafes, Restaurants & Specialist Eateries with the backdrop of the Old Towns along the way. Tastings cover all the essential bites with a finale of Traditional ‘Meze’ or ‘many dishes’, a contemporary classic way to sample the wide variety of traditional dishes available, most being developed over centuries with wide and historic Mediterranean influences and backgrounds.

Itinerary

MEETING YOUR EXPERT ARCHAEOLOGICAL GUIDE. Your guide will be waiting at the 'Acropoli' Metro Station, at street level. This is at 7 Makrygianni Street, just around the corner from the Acropolis Main Entrance.

Our meeting spot provides an ideal perspective from which to view the surrounding wall of the Acropolis built by the earlier Mycenean civilization and to provide you with an introduction to the History of the Acropolis, its importance and role in the life of ancient Greece, and an overview of the temples & amazing monuments you are about to see.

TOURING THE ACROPOLIS and PARTHENON.

With no need to queue for tickets you can carry on to see The THEATER OF DIONYSUS, considered the worlds oldest, and upwards to the gigantic entrance of the PROPHILIA, to hear about all of the Temples and other structures located on the rock of the Acropolis including the restored TEMPLE OF ATHENA NIKE, the PARTHENON, and the Mystical ERECHTHEION. Take in the myths & legends associated with the temples amongst the Athens views and finally descend through the olive trees to view the HEROD ATTICUS ODEON THEATER as you head towards the nearby Plaka Neighborhood.

Our guides are among the most experienced in Athens & will naturally adapt your commentary according to any questions, comments or interests in your group, whether you prefer more mythological associations, more History of the life & times of the sites, more Archaeological detail, specific highlights, or anything else.

TRADITIONAL GREEK FOOD TOUR
