Itinerary

10am Meet your friendly local guide in your hotel lobby and get prepared to learn how to eat like a Parisian on this lovely half-day tour of city’s trendsetting dining scene. Wind your way to Champ de Mars, huge area of green lawns and flowerbeds manicured with military precision. Bring the blanket, grab some cookies and enjoy spectacular views of Eiffel Tower.

11am Experience the charm and elegance of St Germain des Pres which is must-visit quarter if you want to sample real Parisian life. Pass by small bystreets, old mansions and lovely courtyards, wander along the small food markets and do not skip the chance to sample the best French cheese and wine (own expense).

Then stop for a lunch at Le Procope, the first literary café in Paris which traces its beginnings to 1686. Just imagine: 5 centuries of history! Step back in time and find yourself in the Age of Enlightenment, admire old interiors, see the hat of Napoleon and indulge your sweet tooth in delicious French cuisine including traditional onion soup, foie gras, escargots and many others while your savvy guide will entertain you with exciting stories about café’s famous guests.

12pm Your appetite sated venture to the Ile St Louis, calm little island in the Seine River which is valued for its gorgeous quays surrounding a peaceful residential district in the core of Paris.

See the island’s famous townhouses or hôtels particuliers, feast your eyes on Classical style Saint-Louis-en-l’Île parish church

Make a photo stop at little shady square of Place Louis-Aragon and step in at the Berthillon café to please your palate with one of the 70 flavors of extremely tasty ice creams and sorbets.

Lose yourself in the magic of Le Marais strolling along the hip boutiques, designer hotels, galore of art galleries and inviting sidewalk cafes.

Admire the perfect combination of old times and contemporary culture, see area’s mail sites like Musée Picasso, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, the Musée Carnavalet and excellent Musée Cognacq-Jay.
