Itinerary
1
We'll start with a typical Porteño breakfast here
2
Fantastic architecture, sculptures, and plant life. This is a true oasis in the middle of all of the bustle.
3
Originally this was the gateway into Palermo Forest and the starting point of the first trolleys in Buenos Aires. One of the oldest monuments in the country is located here.
4
This is one of the local non-turisty grills that we can stop for some steak.
5
Originally the site of a gasometer that dominated the neighborhood skyline. Since then it's been a park favored by locals and home to farmers markets and artisan markets on the weekends.
6
Around this area we visit a couple of other food stops.
7
There are also some side streets that are filled with street art for us to explore. There are also several restaurants where we will stop to sample a variety of local delicacies. Many of these places do not show up on the map as attractions.
8
This is one of the ice cream shops that we can end the tour at. We actually have several different great options and we can decide on the day which one you would like to visit.

Matalia was very personable and fun to spend a day with as she showed us her city. The visit to Santa Evita was the highlight as the owner talks to you while you try his empanadas (delish)! He gave us two excellent restaurant recommendations too.

This was a great tour. It was a lot more walking than I thought but totally worth it. We saw some great art on the sides of buildings and some beautiful neighborhoods. The food was, of course, excellent and our tour guide, Juan P, was the best!! Do not miss this tour and wearing good walking shoes!

The tour is an exhilarating, six hour deep dive into the food, people and culture of Palermo. Our guide Juanpi made it a special experience by combining cultural insights from Bueno Aires' past, such as the botanical garden and Plaza Italia, with the present, including street art. The food stops are well thought out - ranging from a simple but delicious side walk steak lunch to an excellent wine tasting in a high end botique hotel. All and all, a memorial experience.

IT WAS ALL GREAT. I cannot say enough about our guide Fernando who took this excursion to another level for us. He was engaging, personable, and made this day one we will not soon forget. This excursion is a must to experience the local cuisine of Buenos Aires.

Good way to spend a large part of the day touring and snacking. The food is very good and the guide (Rodrigo?) was great. What kept me from giving this 5 stars? I think it is expensive for what you receive. Such is life!

Fernando was an excellent guide. He gave us lots of information about BA, food culture, and living in Argentina. He spoke excellent English. Julie our wine tasting leader was very personable and very informative about wine in Argentina. Would recommend both activities.

Excellent mix of food, walking and sightseeing with our guide Fer. The group was just 6 people, so a perfect size for meeting others and getting to know them. The food was spaced out well and with good proportions. An excellent selection of traditional foods. The tour of the main sights of Palermo was really formative and the street art very impressive. Thank you.

Juan gave a great city tour on a very hot, humid day! He was attentive to individual needs for hydration while being informative. We were taken to areas not covered by driving tours. The food was great and my vegetarian needs were modified at each stop. This was important as my companion wanted to experience all the great foods.

The wine tasting was a wonderful experience with a great discussion of the regional conditions and offerings. The lunch was excellent with a real local experience. Walking through the SOHO area was a nice way to see and feel living in the city. Jumpi (sp), our tour guide was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and personable.
