What you’ll do

Spend a day in the iconic landscape of the "Hills of Chianti" with a private tour. Pass between avenues of cypress trees, vineyards, sunflowers and medieval villages. Visit the historic village of San Gimignano and admire its ancient towers, enjoy homemade pasta and savor the best wines of the Tuscan countryside in a typical farm. Itinerary: • Our driver will pick you up at your location and take you on a journey through the rolling hills of Tuscany. We will move among olive groves, cypress trees and vineyards until we see the magnificent towers of San Gimignano. San Gimignano is also famous for the white wine Vernaccia, produced from the ancient Vernaccia vine. • Later we will move to a typical Tuscan family-run farm, to understand the secrets of wine production and enjoy a lunch with homemade pasta, bruschetta, percorino cheese and 6 wine tastings. • On the way back we will stop in a second typical cellar for a second tasting of Chianti, Sangiovese, Super Tuscan and more...

Itinerary

Our driver will pick you up at your location (hotel, B&B or private apartment) and take you on a drive through the sweet hills of Tuscany.

The first stop is scheduled at the medieval village of San Gimignano for a free visit.

San Gimignano is a walled medieval hill town not far from Siena. Known as the “Town of Fine Towers”, during the Middle Ages there were more than 70 towers in the city. Now it is a real open-air museum, where it seems to walk in the medieval period. The town also is known for saffron, the Golden Ham, and its white wine: Vernaccia di San Gimignano, produced from the ancient variety of Vernaccia grape which is grown on the sandstone hillsides of the area. In the main square don’t forget to taste the best ice cream in the world (Gelateria Dondoli), and in the streets of the village you can admire the extraordinary work of expert craftsmen. You can also climb the tower-museum (Torre Rognosa) to see an incredible panorama and hear the legend of the “Devil’s Tower”.

After San Gimignano free visit, we will drive through one of the most beatifull "Tuscan Wine Road", we will drive through the sweet Siena hills, amidst olive groves, cypress trees and vineyards. We will arrive at a typical Tuscan farm.

During this visit, you’ll enjoy a second wine tasting, featuring the crown jewel of Tuscan wines: Chianti Classico, proudly marked with the iconic "Gallo Nero" (Black Rooster) seal. This rich and elegant wine, celebrated worldwide, will be accompanied by expert insights into its history, production, and distinctive flavors.
