Athens Small-Group Greek Food Tour

Meet your guide and small group (there’s a maximum of 10 on this tour) near the entrance to Monastiraki metro station to begin your foodie adventure. Your first stop is Athens Central Market, where you’ll learn to shop like an Athenian, meet the traders, and eat a delicious meal of lamb on the bone (kleftiko). Sample cheese, cured meats, fruit, olive oil, honey, sweets, and spices as you stroll the streets of atmospheric Psirri, meeting local shopkeepers as you do so. Then sit down in a taverna for one of Athens’ very best gyros plus wine fresh from the barrel. There’s time for a bougatsa (custard pie) dessert and of course Greek coffee and ouzo before you return to Monastiraki for a photo stop at a viewpoint.
