Simondium: Full Day – Wine Tasting Horse Trail along the Cape Winelands Wine Route

What you’ll do

Enjoy a 7-hour horse ride through the scenic Cape Winelands Wine Route, complete with tasting-sessions at 2 of the local estates. The tour starts at 10 AM with a safety briefing, where equipment is also provided. As for the ride itself, this can be adapted depending on the riders’ level of experience. Meet your horse for the day at the Vrede en Lust Wine Estate, before heading off to a choice of wineries that also include Babylonstoren, Plaisir De Merle, Anura. The Lust Bistro & Bakery is also available should you wish to stop for food and is open to members of your group not partaking in the ride.

Duration: 7 hours

Meeting Point: Vrede en Lust Wine Estate

Start Time: 7 days a week at 10 AM (please arrive 30-minutes early for safety briefing)

Horse Ride: The 7h hour ride ventures through the magnificent Cape Winelands Wine Route and can be adapted based on the ability of the group

2 x Wine Estate: Along the way, there will be stops at 2 estates chosen by your guide - these include a choice from Babylonstoren, Anura, Plaisir De Merle and your starting point of Vrede en Lust

Lunch: Although not included within the price of your tour, there will be time to enjoy a light lunch, alternatively you are welcome to visit the onsite Lust Bistro & Bakery.

End Time: Approximately 4 PM

Notes

The tour runs rain or shine

Under 18? You can't consume alcohol, but delightful non-alcoholic options are available

Minimum of 2 riders required for a tour to proceed

Maximum group size of 15 riders

Weight restrictions apply: No rider over 95kg

Helmets are mandatory for all riders. Practical hairstyles are recommended to ensure helmet fitting

Participants must be free of drugs and alcohol, complete indemnity forms, and present valid ID or passport

Respectful behaviour and language are expected throughout the activity

Late arrivals will result in a deduction of time from the booking

All cancellations must be in writing. Please be aware that there is a 100% cancellation fee payable on any bookings cancelled 7 days before the trip is scheduled to go out.

No Shows and Late Arrivals will be subject to100 % cancellation fee payable as well.
