What you’ll do

Meet your guide in Rome’s Piazza Campo de' Fiori, and start your food tour of the Trevi district. Historical monuments and upscale eateries fill this buzzing quarter, tucked beside the River Tiber. Learn about Rome’s history and cuisine, and see landmarks including Pompey Theatre, Marcus Aurelius Column and Piazza Navona. Plus, throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain to ensure your return to Rome, and visit the 2nd-century Roman Pantheon. On route, enjoy at least seven food stops to sample various specialities. A hub for visitors and many Italian government buildings, the area abounds with restaurants and bars, alongside sophisticated delicatessens, coffee roasters, chocolatiers, salami makers, wine shops, and ice cream parlors. Tastings vary on each tour, but expect to try delicacies like silky prosciutto, gelato, pizza, cheeses, wines, and more. As you eat, chat to the vendors to learn more about each dish. Come hungry, as the tastings will easily replace lunch. Roam the food market at Campo de' Fiori, where the stalls sell fresh produce and goodies, and hear your guide’s tips for restaurants and sights in the city. Your tour concludes in the Trevi district so you can continue exploring on your own.

Your tour will start from Campo dè Fiori Square where you will learn about the history of this medieval place is the historic center of Rome. There you will visit one of Rome's most famous farmers markets with local produce, flowers and delicacies. At this stop you will sample local specialties such as balsamic vinegar, truffles, olive oils and limoncello. After the market you will get to taste a platter with salumi, cheese and prosciutto from Norcia, the finest cuts of cured meat from a family-business shop since 1890.

After having crunch pizza on a local bakery from 1824 and a rich lunch among the ruins of Rome's most ancient theater around Campo dè Fiori area, we will head to the Navona square for the dessert time. Try the Roman's most beloved dessert, Tiramisù while you get fascineted about the history of Piazza Navona and its beautiful Baroque style with the 3 fountains.

Admire the beauty of Basilica di Sant'Eustachio (from outside). At this stop you will try the real Italian coffee just like the Italians do from a coffee shop in the heart of the city center which keeps its traditions since 1938 serving organic coffee.
