Our exploration will lead us to the countryside and the captivating city of Cortona, as well as the "secret underground cellars" of Montepulciano, renowned for their historic charm. Immerse yourself in the finest wines of our region and savor a typical Tuscan lunch. Itinerary: • Explore southern Tuscany, visiting the medieval town of Cortona and the monastery of San Francesco, known as "Le Celle." • Capture the beauty of the landscape, reminiscent of scenes from the film "Under the Tuscan Sun." • Venture into the "Underground Wonders" of Montepulciano, exploring the historic cellars adorned with colossal oak barrels that cradle the renowned Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG. • Indulge in a delectable lunch in Montepulciano, followed by two wine tastings in distinct cellars, offering a diverse tasting experience.

Itinerary

1. Cortona (1 hour 30 minutes):Our expert driver will pick you up from your chosen location and transport you to the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Begin your journey in Cortona, a traditional fortified Etruscan city perched 600 meters above sea level. Enjoy a self-guided exploration of the city, marveling at:

Piazza della Repubblica, the historic center of Cortona The picturesque medieval streets Piazza Signorelli The charming shops of Cortona Explore the tranquil Monastery of St. Francis, a serene haven not far from the city.

2. Montepulciano (2 hours):Departing Cortona, pause for picturesque photos along the cinematic route from "Under the Tuscan Sun." Continue to Montepulciano, where you'll delve into the "Underground Wonders" of the city. Visit the main square, Piazza Grande, the ancient Government Palace, and two historic cellars housing immense oak barrels cradling the renowned Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG and Rosso di Montepulciano DOC.

3. Cantina Fattoria della Talosa (1 hour 30 minutes):Enjoy a delicious Tuscan lunch and a guided tour inside the Talosa Historic Winery. The experience includes:

Guided tour of the Historic Cellar Wine tasting of Rosso di Montepulciano Doc, Nobile di Montepulciano Docg wines, Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Docg, and Nobile di Montepulciano “Filai Lunghi” Docg or IGT “Pietrose” Super Tuscan. Lunch featuring homemade pasta, Pecorino di Pienza, and typical Tuscan cured meats. Talosa, a historic winery, is carved into the heart of Montepulciano, revealing tunnels within ancient rock leading to spacious rooms where the Nobile wine gracefully ages.

4. Azienda Agricola Ercolani (1 hour):Conclude your day with a second wine-tasting experience in the historic cellar of Cantina Ercolani. The Ercolani family, pioneers in vine cultivation during the Renaissance, welcomes you for a guided tour and a special wine tasting of 7/8 wines paired with appetizers.

After this tasting, we will return you to your chosen location.
