But with so much choice, it can be hard to know where to start. On our Budapest Food Tour you’ll join a local guide and a group of fellow food-lovers to eat your way through the city and try authentic Hungarian street food and traditional dishes.

To better understand the influence that the Jewish community had on the food culture in Budapest, our tour will begin at a synagogue with a brief introduction from an expert guide

Together we’ll wander the streets of District 7, the city’s former Jewish quarter. Nowadays the neighbourhood is renowned for its vibrant nightlife and iconic ruin bars. These bars and restaurants might be trendy on social media, but they carry with them a fascinating story connected to the plight of the Jewish community. Your expert guide will tell you about this history and how it relates to Hungarian cuisine before you try authentic street food. Leave your knives and forks at home, because all you’ll need is an open mind!
