This tour starts at the Little India MRT station and proceeds to Tekka Centre, a bustling market where everything from fresh produce to clothes and electronics can be found. Visit a spice shop to learn about different kinds of spices used in Indian cooking. Try the famous roti (flatbread) and teh tarik, as well as some traditional Indian sweets inside this lively market. Next, crossed the road to see a flower shop, where beautiful garlands are made by hand. You’ll have the chance to try making one as well! Then, make a photo stop at Tan Teng Niah, a colourful Chinese villa that stands out among the various shops. Finally, visit Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Singapore where you can take in the spiritual atmosphere and admire the intricate sculptures and paintings inside.
