Itinerary

    Meet your tour leader and enjoy the ride of the Chianti wine region while learning about the area and hearing interesting facts about the region while enjoying the view of the rolling hills of Tuscany. Once at the HORSE RIDING SCHOOL, situated in a peaceful area immersed between the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside, you will meet the horses before setting out.

    Don’t worry if you haven’t ridden a horse before, it is a slow walk and the experienced staff will make sure you feel confident before leaving for a ride. We will ride in complete relaxation by lush vineyards, native woods, and olive groves for a collection of BREATHTAKING & UNFORGETTABLE VIEWS for about 1h.

    After the ride, enjoy a traditional TUSCAN MEAL combined with local Chianti wines: appetizers, Tuscan cheeses and salami, bruschetta, Truffle lasagna & Cantuccini with dessert wine are just waiting for you!

    Last stop of the tour is the visit to the famous little Medieval town of San Gimignano where you will have 1h30m free time to explore.

Meeting Points

In Florence: Piazza della Calza, right in front Porta Romana at the blue P (parking) sign.

In San Gimignano area: Tuscany on Wheels office, Strada di Sant’ Appiano 9/i – Barberino Tavarnelle

In Rome: You will be traveling in the morning from Rome to Florence and back by fast speed train independently. Once in Florence please see the meeting point above. The team will send you the train tickets a few days before the tour.

From Florence: 09:45am to 05:00pm

From San Gimignano area: 10:45am to 1:00pm. If you wish to add a 1h30m visit to San Gimignano and finish the tour at 3:00pm instead please inform our team.

From Rome : 07:30 am – 8:00pm. If you wish to stay longer in Florence after the tour, inform the team.

Please note during the summer months the tour departure time might vary due to the summer heat.

Vegetarian and vegan options are available on request. Please inform our team at the moment of the booking of any special dietary requirements.

Wear closed shoes; no flip-flops or sandals. Wear long trousers. You can get changed at the ranch.

An English saddle is used.

TIPS: WHY NOT VISITING SAN GIMIGNANO?

If you wish to stay in San Gimignano for a visit or for the night, ask your guide to be dropped off in the town after the Horseback ride. Feel free to bring your bags with you on the tour and store them on the bus.
