What you’ll do

Thematic visit. A "delicious" tour that will make you fall in love with focaccia, farinata and tasty pesto sauce. Meeting with the tour guide and start of this itinerant enogastronomic tour with tastings of typical products, sweets and local delicacies, in traditional shops in Genoa in the characteristic alleys called “caruggi”. This original tour is a new way to discover the city: you will visit typical places and interact with the Genoese searching for the best traditional meals of the city. Lunch in a wonderful location in the Porto Antico Area with an amazing panoramic view of the sea. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a pesto demonstration and taste the famous Genoese focaccia with Vermentino, a typical Ligurian white wine

Itinerary

Gastronomic itinerary that starts from the area of Sottoripa, a large area of the medieval old town of Genoa, which includes the oldest public porticoes known in Italy. Here we will find the historical fried food shops of the city and we can taste some delicacies.

Visit of an ancient Confectionery that offers unique specialties from the second half of the 18th century: candied fruit, chocolates, fondants and party cakes or a chocolate shop. Small tasting.

The visit continues along the street Via dei Macelli di Soziglia, an area of slaughterhouses, butchers and tripe shop since ancient times.

Lunch at Porto Antico area in a beautiful location. 3-course menu, drinks not included.

In the afternoon there will be a pesto demostration with a taste of the famous focaccia genovese, served with good Vermentino, a typical Ligurian white wine.
