From Florence: All-Inclusive Tuscany Vespa Tour in the Chianti Wine Region

An unmissable Chianti wine tour and Vespa experience! Experience the best of Tuscany as you navigate winding roads, drift over rolling hills, and take in memorable views of verdant vineyards. We’ll make frequent stops to fully appreciate the landscape and explore medieval villages like San Gimignano. (Those who love medieval history may also want to consider our Multi-Day Tours of Tuscany). The tour’s centrepiece is a visit to a local winery, where you’ll learn about Chianti wine production. Then, we’ll enjoy a leisurely Tuscan lunch of traditional dishes such as Ribollita Soup and Lasagna; lunch is accompanied by tastings of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, vintage Balsamic, and Chianti wines. 3rd-party insurance, helmets and fuel are included for an amazing trip.

Itinerary

Start your Vespa day tour from Florence and travel to the Chianti region. Jump on your favourite Vespa and enjoy the ride on the rolling hills of Tuscany, the views of the most beautiful Medieval villages in the area, as San Gimignano, and the guided tour of a local winery with lunch and wine tasting included.

Jump on board our minivan/bus and enjoy the ride from Florence towards the Chianti region learning information about the area from our tour leader.

Finally reach our headquarters located in the heart of the Chianti region to receive an orientation conducted by your IOAB tour leader, ensuring the safe operation of the Vespas before we head out for our engaging and enjoyable ride (see notes at the bottom).

Start the Vespa ride on quiet and scenic roads through the rolling hills of the Chianti region where some of the most famous Tuscan wines are produced and fall in love with the fields of vines, cypresses, and Tuscan rural houses. Don’t worry, we will stop many times for pictures along the way! We will be able to see the skylines of the incredible Medieval villages like San Gimignano and listen to the legendary stories that these places hold from your local guide.

Finally arrive in a local winery and learn about the production of Chianti wine. Relax for an authentic Tuscan meal with wine and olive oil tasting.

Continue the ride through the stunning Tuscan countryside until we return back to our starting point to leave the Vespas and jump back on board of the minivan to Florence. We will arrive back in Florence at approx 5:00 pm.

Notes

Experienced drivers required. A driving skills check is conducted before the tour to confirm the level of experience.

A valid driver’s license to drive in Italy is required (you need to have it with you on the tour) together with your own document (ID/PASSPORT). The lack of these documents implies the non-participation in the tour with no refund. No pictures, no photocopies. You do not need a motorcycle license.

You must be at least 18 years old.

We reserve the right of final judgement in client participation of actual scooter driving or in client being a passenger, or to discontinue scooter use at any point of the tour. Any participant unable to drive scooters safely may ride double with a partner.

No refunds will be granted in the case of any participant unable to drive scooters

Bring closed shoes for the ride

The maximum weight recommended on a vespa 50cc is 160kg

Terms & Conditions in case of rain – In case of light rain the tour and itinerary will continue regularly. We recommend bringing a raincoat and a set of spare clothes – In case it starts to rain heavily halfway through the tour preventing the continuation of the tour safely, the rest of the tour will be done by minivan. – In case of heavy rain the company will offer the same tour and itinerary by minivan
