What you'll do

With plenty of wine available throughout the week, the 8 day tour includes 4 visits to dedicated wine cellars for local tasting sessions. 4 nights accommodation with breakfast and an additional 3 nights half-board are included, along with private transfers to and from Barcelona upon request. Wines tasted include those from the DOQ (Apellation) of Priorat and the DO (Apellation) of Montsant. The walking tour also includes hikes along the slopes of Llicorella, trails within the Montsant Natural Park and past the river banks of Siurana.

    Meeting Point: Accommodation in Falset, although private transfers from Barcelona are available upon request.

    Day 1: Arrive at the hotel in Falset, just a 15 minute walk from the train station. Alternatively, door-to-door with private transfers. Free time to settle into your accommodation.

    Day 2: Guided walk from Falset to Gratallops, a village in the Priorat wine region renowned for it's high-quality wines. Here the tour stops for a tasting of DOQ of Priorat wine-tasting at a small family cellar.

    Day 3: Leaving Gratallops, head to llicorella and visit the Scala Dei Carthusian monastery for another session of tasting local wines. After which will be a walk to Morera de Montsant and the National Park.

    Day 4: Waking up to magnificent views, it's time for a trek through the mountains. Upon reaching Cornudella de Montsant, it's time to sample the wines of the DO (Apellation) of Montsant.

    Day 5: This scenic hike takes place with a visit to the village of Siurana Valley and the vineyards of Poboleda for an afternoon of organic wine-tasting.

    Day 6: Follow the pathways linking the villages of Poboleda, Torroja and Porrera. During the trek, learn how the terrain provides an intense and mineral flavour to the wines you sample.

    Day 7: Return to Falset via the Wine Interpretation Centre of the Priorat, followed by free time to visit the local shops.
  • 12
    Day 8: Following your final night in the hotel, it's time to end your trek and wine tour in the Priorat wine region. Either via train or a return transfer back to Barcelona.
