Itinerary
1
We will meet in the square where Porta Pretoria is located, the starting point of our walking tour to explore the region's rich gastronomic tradition.
2
On our way to the first stop we pass the historic city walls.
3
In an old cheese shop in town, you get to taste some of the local Aosta Valley cheeses. Simply delicious!
4
Passing through Piazza Émile Chanoux we walk to the second stop, where we will taste a platter served with a local wine: a rich platter of jambon seasoned in juniper and genepy, lard d’Arnad PDO, chestnuts in syrup with honey, a traditional cured meat named mocetta, local cheeses, white and black bread. And a glass of local wine, of course.
5
Across Via Croix de Ville, past the City Cross, we arrive at the most important stop: the main course, soup or polenta are a must in Aosta!
6
To conclude a typical food tour, a good dessert accompanied by an excellent espresso is a must!
