After you meet the tour driver in Venice, you will be brought along the famous Soave and Valpolicella Wine Route.
Starting the experience from the ancient town of Soave, whose castle fortress dates back to the 10th century, this tour will lead you through Valpolicella region, known for varieties of red grapes such as Amarone and Recioto.
Amarone della Valpolicella is made with local grapes Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella generally picked (barring anomalous weather conditions) between the end of September and beginning of October. In order to successfully complete the critical phase of "appassimento" (drying process), the fruit must be fully ripe and in perfect condition, therefore the fruit selection in the vineyard is very accurate..Â
You will be introduced to these wines in a morning visit to the first local winery. A luscious, typical lunch will be followed by a visit to the second winery. Sipping wine and tasting local products, you’ll learn about the different techniques of viticulture. This itinerary is entirely designed in a breathtaking landscape of caves, marbles, villages and family manors!
