Day 1 : Florence
Pick-up and departure.First winery
At this family-run winery situated at the base of the hilly Montalcino, you will get immersed into the art of wine making. You are going to explore the entire estate, tour the vineyards and wine cellars and understand the production process of Brunello di Montalcino. Their interpretation of Sangiovese grapes has given life to world praised wines. During the wine tasting, you will taste a remarkable pallet of their best wines.Second winery
This family-run winery prides itself in honouring the love for the land for generations. This respect for nature has become evident when in 2016 the estate was awarded the “Ecofriendly Cellar Diploma”. They practise sustainability and the desire to deliver healthy wines for consumers. La Palazzetta has managed to increase the value of the area through the production of both DOC and DOCG wines and extra-virgin olive oil. Here you will tour the vineyards, the farm and wine cellars and understand the family’s wine philosophy. The wine tasting will be accompanied by a multi-course lunch prepared with their own organic products.Third winery
The winery has ancient origins and preserves the spirit of a centennial past. The same family has run the estate since 1850. They have dedicated themselves to the cultivation of cereals, olive groves and vineyards. An interesting fact is that the oldest part of the cellar houses an underground tunnel that opens into small caves of probable Etruscan origin. You will get to explore them and tour the entire estate. The winery has a diversified production: wines, grappa and olive oil. The visit will finish by tasting their signature wines.Montalcino
You will enjoy some free time in this medieval borgo. The very high site of the town offers stunning views over Tuscan valleys. In the case of Montalcino, gradual economic decline has recently been reversed by economic growth due to the increasing popularity of the town's famous wine Brunello di Montalcino, made from the Sangiovese Grosso grapes, grown within the proximities. The number of wine producers has grown from only 11 in the 1960s to more than 200 today.Florence
