  1. Tour Overview

This is a must-see tour around the spectacular granite rocks of Gallura: Arzachena, Palau, Porto Rafael and Forte Cappellini. Sardinia and the neighbouring island of Corsica are the most ancient lands of Europe, with granite rocks that took shape in the Paleozoic era, more than half billion years ago. It is in the middle of these rocks that, one of the best wines of Sardinia originates: the Vermentino. At the end of the tour we stop at the SURRAU cellar where you will taste one of the best Vermentino wines, together with Sardinian homemade bread, olives, a selection of Sardinian cheeses and cold cuts.

  2. Tour Itinerary

    Day 1 :
a fabulous nineteenth-century granite fortress converted into a disco bar

a picturesque fishing village with an enchanting coastline and beautiful beaches

one of the first tourists of the island, created by a Spanish aristocrat, following a dream!
    Surrau winery

The degustation is held at the Surray winery, where in the main building also has a panoramic seating area overlooking farmer’s fields where they serve a flight of wines accompanied with meats and cheese. You can choose among two menus: one of three wines (25€) and another of five wines (35 €), both accompanied by local products. The most popular wines of the cellar are: the Branu Vermentino di Gallura, Commended in the Decanter World Wine Awards. Translated from Gallurese, Branu means ‘spring’ – with its straw colouring, this wine is fruity with a relatively long finish and mineral undertones. Next you can try the Sciala Vementino di Gallura, which is slightly higher in alcohol content at 14% but had a smooth and long refreshing finish. Moving to the reds, not to be missed are the Barriu Isola dei Nuraghi and the Sincaru Cannonau di Sardegna. Both have won won multiple awards and don't need any presentation.
