  3. Tour Itinerary

    Day 1 : We meet up by the two stone pillars (over 3 meter high) by Ingólfur Square

    We meet up at Ingolfstorg Square in the center of Reykjavik by the two stone high seat pillars (Over 2 meters high), The square is at the beginning of Austurstr√¶ti (Austurstr√¶ti 1) and is squared off by the streets A√įalstr√¶ti, Hafnarstr√¶ti, Veltusund, and Vallarstr√¶ti. If you walk down Laugavegur (The main shopping street) please just continue all the way down until you come to the square always walking straight down until you can't continue further. On the Ingolfur square itself, you can see Kvosin a small grocery market and Center Hotel Plaza.


    S√¶ta Sv√≠ni√į Gastropub

    Our first stop is very popular Gastropub S√¶ta Sv√≠ni√į or The Pretty pig 

    Once there we will startoff with a small appetizer of a Smoked Puffin with a Crowberry liqueur sauce and some Icelandic goat cheese


    Our 2nd stop is Hressó or Hressingarskálinn for the delicious Icelandic sheep soup

    This is the most traditional dish in Icelandic cuisine, Iceland in a bowl some say


    Our 3d stop is the fast food institution of Iceland = The one and only hot dog stand Bæjarins Besta

    This hot dog stands has been in operation since 1937


    Our 4th stop is the legendary Seabaron by the old Reykjavik harbor

    Here we sample Icelandic Lobster soup, a small piece of Minke whale steak and if you are up for it ... a small piece of the dreaded Icelandic Fermented shark


    Our 5th stop is Geysir Bistro

    Here we experience Icelandic style Fish & chips. Fresh fish in a light batter with some new potatoes.


    Our 6th and final stop (Unless it's the daytours during the weekends) = Skyr Dessert

    We finish our easy semi circle downtown back at the lovely S√¶ta Sv√≠ni√į for a delicious Skyr Dessert and an Icelandic drink of choice

    Please Note:

    We are not able to meet any special requirements regarding the food. Our food tour gives you a taste of traditional Icelandic cuisine which includes both meat, fish and dairy.
    Please be at Ingolfur Square 5 minutes before the starting time of our walking tour together

  6. Requirements

    Please dress according to weather, in Iceland that means be prepared for any kind of weather! :). It's only about 2,5 km walk all in all and please come hungry!

    • We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 24 hours or less before event
