Pass along Bangkok’s glittering waterfront during a 2-hour dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River an elegant, Thai-style boat enjoying a sumptuous meal. Capture unforgettable images of the city’s most iconic sites such as the Temple of Dawn and the Rama VIII bridge light up after dark, and sample Thai specialties or fresh seafood entrées. Watch long-tail boats, ferries and traditional craft float by as you navigate the gentle current, and experience ‘Venice of the East’ in classic Thai luxury.
Soft music, the river breeze and nighttime river scenery make for a good break from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Wan Fah boat is smaller than most dinner cruise boats and carries fewer passengers, which lends the cruise a more intimate feeling.
Stepping on board, passengers are greeted in the traditional Thai way with a Wai, the gesture of pressing both hands together. The atmosphere on board is relaxed. Soothing traditional Thai music is played on traditional instruments. Moving gracefully and slowly, elegant dancers wearing beautiful, long colorful dresses perform a classical dance show. The dance is accompanied by music played on traditional Thai instruments. Dancers wearing elaborately adorned costumes and masks perform a Khon masked dance based on the Ramakien, the Thai version of the Indian epic Ramayana. Elegant expressions made with hands, fingers, feet and body convey the emotions of the scene. The performance is accompanied by traditional Piphat music.
