Salathip can be found in a traditional teak pavilion featuring a Thai-style chandelier. The menu is just as authentic, with traditional cuisine from each of the four regions in Thailand: North, Northeast, Central and South.
In beautiful surroundings, with authentic, traditional cuisine from each of the four regions in Thailand: North, Northeast, Central and South, each dish balances three to four of the fundamental tastes: sweet, sour, salty and bitter. As expected with such a fine dining experience, all dishes feature only the freshest ingredients, and are prepared by talented, experienced chefs.
Classical Thai dancing is also performed as guests enjoy dishes that run from seafood, to vegetarian, to soups, and desserts. The team of chefs at Salathip prepare every dish with the perfect blend of herbs and spices to create genuine Thai flavours. Although many Thai restaurants do not include these dishes because they can be more complicated and time-consuming to make, Salathip has a choice of 3 set menus including Vegetarian, Thai and Seafood.
Sumptuous dishes include Chicken Satay and Pork Neck served with Peanut Sauce and Chilli Sauce, Papaya Salad and Steamed Sticky Rice, Spicy and Sour Seafood Soup with Lemongrass and popular Thai desserts, such as Coconut Ice Cream with condiments, Mango and Sticky Rice, and Crispy Banana with Rice Flour. Main courses are served at the table, with several options available.
After dinner, guests may shop for local produce at various stalls showcasing local woven fabrics, bags and dolls, traditional accessories, homemade soap and shampoo, organic spa products, wood carvings and many more in the restaurant area.
