With more than 100 years of life, Poças Caves is currently in the hands of the 3rd and 4th generations, making it one of the rare Port Wine companies that was born Portuguese and has remained in the hands of the same family since its foundation. Old Tawny Port Wines have built Poças’ reputation, but for 30 years now, Douro DOC wines have also proved their quality. In addition, welcoming about 28,000 visitors a year, our Visitor Center has also been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. What's not included

Sadly, we have to notify you that our tour is not suitable or accessible to wheelchair users or strollers due to the challenging terrain at the venues we visit.

Although not compulsory, our team of tour guides would deeply appreciate gratuities and tips as a display of gratitude for the exceptional service they provide.

We do not provide infant seats, and for safety reasons, children must not be seated on an adult's lap.

If you're under the age of 18, unfortunately, you cannot consume alcohol. However, there are plenty of delicious non-alcoholic options available.

This tour includes food, drinks and wine-tasting as outlined in the itinerary.

Additional orders placed during the tour must be paid for by the individual who orders them. If unsure, the tour guide will be happy to assist.

Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended as there is some walking involved during your tour.

This is a private tour and requires a minimum of two people. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough bookings to meet requirements In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

Due to the risk of gluten cross-contamination, the tastings on this tour are not recommended for those with gluten intolerance.
