Florence Tuscany Cooking Class, Market Tour, and Lunch

What you'll do

Your tour begins in central Florence, where you join up with your guide. Walk to a Florentine food market and peruse the stalls, each teeming with the region’s freshest ingredients, including cured meats, olives, cheeses, balsamic vinegar, sun-dried tomatoes, and other Tuscan delicacies. Select some of these high-quality ingredients for your cooking class later in the afternoon and enjoy tastings of the food and wine. Climb aboard a minibus and journey into the Tuscan hills and drive to a rustic farmhouse. Under the guidance of an expert chef, prepare a full Tuscan meal. Discover the culinary secrets behind Tuscan cuisine, from slow-cooked meat sauces to whipping up Italian pasta from scratch. Everything you make is seasonal but the menu may include roast pork, bruschetta, and tiramisu. Finally, reward yourself with your 4-course meal. Complement your delicious food with Tuscan wine and good conversation. Return to central Florence and receive all the recipes by email so you can impress family and friends back at home with your Italian dishes.

The tour was perfect from beginning to end. Luca and Carmela are both so knowledgeable of Italian cooking. They were very clear in their instructions while be so entertaining! A lot of laughs and good food. We’re no longer intimidated by trying to make our own pasta.

Absolutely fantastic day full of laughter, beautiful scenery and scrumptious food. Our chef and guide Luca was a fabulous, sassy man who kept you smiling and engaged the whole way through. The second chef Karmala was a divine sweet Italian woman full of life who danced her way round the kitchen. Couldn't recommend this tour more!

The experience was fantastic with Lucca and team! Going through the market was great to see how all the vendors knew Lucca and explained their history and products, and how they’d be used later and in other dishes. The estate of where the actual class was held was impressive with amazing views. Lastly, the food was so incredible! Highly reccomend!

This tour was so much fun! Our guide Luca was a blast. We love you Luca! The tour through the Mercado was so great. We went back the next day and had the most incredible food. After the Mercado we travel to the Estate to cook. The views were spectacular. We met our other instructor Carmella. This lady didn’t speak English but sang to us and we got it, Luca translated. Our food was so delicious and plenty of it. We were so full we didn’t eat dinner that night!

The whole experience was so fun. The farmhouse was absolutely gorgeous but what made it super fun and memorable was how amazing Gloria and Carmela was hosting. Their chemistry and passion was so genuine and we felt like we were welcomed into someone’s home!
