What you'll do
Arrange your own private wine tour of the Cape Town wine region, visiting the likes of Stellenbosch and Constantia. The full-day tour begins at 9 AM and includes a tour guide for the duration, along with transport and a choice of up to 5 wineries all with tasting sessions featuring around 7 or 8 wines. Decide between Cape Town, Stellenbosch Franschhoek, Paarl, Hermanus, Swartland and Constantia wine routes. Please see the sample itinerary for a suggested list of wine estates available. If you would like to include lunch (at your own expense) several of the wineries offer a traditional menu - plus at the Delaire Graff Wine Estate there is also a choice of 2 well-respected restaurants.

- 5Sample Itinerary: Choose your own wine route in Cape Town with up to 5 wineries in Stellenbosch, Constantia, Paarl and Franschhoek. Below is a selection of wineries available, please note the order visited and number of wines tasted may vary depending on your personal choice, availability and time constraints.
- 61st Winery - Groot Constantia: Having driven south along the Constantia Wine route stop at South Africa's oldest winery (circa 1685) and sample up to 7 wines, along with an optional wine and chocolate pairing. The drive will continue to a picturesque photo opportunity at Chapman's Peak overlooking the region.
- 72nd Winery - Cape Point Vineyards: Try up to 7 wine of the very best South African wines at this established winery. The terroir is perfectly located in order to benefit from all the sea minerals, as the farm itself is facing the Atlantic Ocean.
- 83rd Winery - Spier: Dating back to 1691 this winery is one of the founding members of the American Express wine route. There's a 7 wine tasting menu available, as well as chance for a city tour in Stellenbosch.
- 94th Winery - Tokara: Having had a tour of the vineyards, 8 wines can be sampled alongside a light lunch served on the Estate.
- 105th Winery - Delaire Graff Wine Estate: As well as being referred to as the "Jewel of the Cape Winelands" this Estate is also a fantastic choice for lunch where you can choose between the Delaire Graff Restaurant (Mediterranean) or Indochine (Indian, Chinese fusion).
- 116th Winery - Fairview Winery: Sample cheese and wine, making a good choice for later in the day if you've had lunch elsewhere.
- 127th Winery - Peter Falke Wine Estate: Here is another alternative for finishing your evening, as the Peter Falke Wine Estate holds a later license than some in the area - making it a good place to end.
- 13Drop-off: Whichever wine estates you visit, the tour will always include hotel drop-off at your accommodation in Cape Town.
- 14End Time: Approximately 6.30 PM

WE did the Tour 1: Cape Town Based Full Day Private Winelands Tour of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Our Tour guide was Tonya J. and she was excellent. She picked us up at our hotel. She gave us history of the area while on route, and shared so much great information. All day she was professional at the same time became a friend in just a few minutes. We would recommend her and this tour to everyone.

We booked the one day wine tour of stellenbosh, Paarl, and Franschhoek. We were luck enough to have Esaudore as our guide. He arrived early and started off the day with a friendly demeanor and so much information/ history about the country and the region. He took us to 3 amazing wineries and coordinated a lovely lunch for us. He was delightful and we wished we had more time to spend with him!

Reagan was very kind and informative. He showed us all the amazing places and provided so much history about Cape Town. This is a must do tour to for your trip. The car was clean and the private tour was worth the additional cost.

We went on a private winery tour on Valentine’s Day with Seifu and it was beyond perfect. Not only was he super accommodating of all our requests, but he went out of his way to make reservations at phenomenal places to make sure that we truly enjoyed our day.
