What you'll do

Make your own way to the centrally located meeting spot and transfer by coach to a private estate situated in the hills above Florence. Start your culinary experience with a tasting of a traditional focaccia appetizer accompanied by a glass of Chianti wine. Next your chef-instructor shows you how to make pasta or pizza dough, and explains regional variations. For pasta makers, roll up your sleeves and get to work creating three types of fresh pasta from scratch, and recreate iconic sauces including Pesto, Carbonara, Amatriciana and Cacio e Pepe. For pizza makers, after preparing the dough, select the topping ingredients that you like from the assortment of fresh vegetables harvested from the estate gardens. Your pizza is then baked traditional-style in the wood oven. For dessert, learn to make a creamy gelato that can be accompanied by toppings and sauces. When ready, sit down to enjoy the fruit of your labour accompanied by wine or beer. Your culinary experience ends with a return trip to your starting point in Florence.

Max, Arla and Tiziano were great teachers, engaging and very fun to be around. Best experience we booked on our trip! Recommend to anyone the has a free afternoon in Florence. The venue was very scenic an excellent place to learn, make and eat gelato and pizza! Arla captured several photos of my wife and I making pizza and we have received the recipes of the gelato and pizza that we made in an email already

This was an amazing afternoon/evening for our entire family (kids age 9&11). It was a short 15 minute drive outside the city into the rolling hills overlooking Florence. Nice to get away from the crowds and the heat. The farm is small, and the operation is built for these tours. Amazing patio overlooking a grove of fruit trees and vegetables. We started with learning about gelato, then moving through step one. After that we moved outside to the pizza oven where we learned about dough making. After making dough, we moved back to finishing the gelato, and after that we rolled out pizza dough and made/ate the pizza. Once everyone cycled through making pizza, we finished off with all-you-can-eat gelato as there were approx 20 people in the group with 10 batches of various flavors. Cris, Thomas and Tiziano (our cooks) were amazing. Funny, informative, and helpful. 10 out of 5 starts, would book again!

What an amazing trip! It started with a short bus ride to the farm, just outside of Florence. When we got there, we were given a short tour of their garden and then got right into the gelato making. Cris is an amazing instructor, and all the instruction you get is science-based. Cris and his team show you *how* to do it correctly, and *why* it happens. The group splits up into twos and each group makes their own flavor of gelato, which everyone gets to taste. As for pizza, Thomas and Tiziano were also fantastic, giving you the science and artistry behind what makes good pizza. Plus, they promise to send out their recipes. This was unanimously my family's most favorite experience in Florence!

I went to Italy for my honeymoon and booked many different things - but this was the best one yet! Cris, Tiziano and Thomas were so interactive with the group and made the energy of the class so fun. The atmosphere was amazing and do not get me started on the view. We happened to have this booked our last day on our trip and it made leaving Italy so much harder and sadder. Did not want to leave after experiencing this!!

Cris, Thomas and Tiziano were the best hosts and teachers for this incredible once in a lifetime experience. Gorgeous, quiet location, everything was comfortable and the whole process was very easy with the transportation being provided. Highly recommend if you are visiting Florence or Tuscany!!

This was an amazing thing to do as a family! We loved it! Making pizza and gelato together was so much fun and we learned a lot and loved the farm and the people! Chris was an amazing source of information and super patient, Tiziano was superbly witty and fun for our teenage sons, and Arlo was funny and kind. We recommend!

We visited 3 cities and did a ton of tours in italy. This was by far the highlight of our trip. Cris, Thomas, and Tiziano did an amazing job making it informative, entertaining, and the food was amazing. I would go back and do this every time I'm in florence! It was the best pizza we had in all of italy
