Your foodie adventure begins at one of Rome’s most historic outdoor food markets at the heart of the Trastevere district. The colors of the freshest regional delicacies of the season are a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. Make friends with a passionate family who have been selling cheese in the market since 1920 as you sample some of their best mozzarella or buffala.

The market tour is followed by a scenic stroll in the charming little streets of Trastevere with flavorful sips and nibbles along the way. You’ll stop inside a revered salumeria and sample a platter of local cured meats and olives artfully selected for you by a passionate professional. Continuing the stroll, you’ll fall in love with the irresistible, the mouthwatering fried risotto balls that are Romans’ favorite street food.

Take a rest at a traditional osteria where a warm welcome and some copious servings of Roman specialties are waiting for you. You’ll enjoy an assortment of Roman pasta such as carbonara, amatriciana or cacio y pepe, paired with two glasses of local wine for each guest. You’ll also discover the famous Roman-Jewish-style artichoke cooked in two ways, fired and glazed, bliss for your taste buds (when in season)
