What you'll do
Depart from Edinburgh and make your way to the ancient Scottish capital of Stirling. Here, the skyline is dominated by Stirling Castle and the iconic Kelpies, 30-meter-tall horse head sculptures. Next, drive through Scotland's scenic landscapes, venturing further into the Highlands before stopping for lunch at one of Scotland's famous whisky distilleries. After a quick pick me up from a wee bit of the 'water of life', head to the Hermitage in the heart of Perthshire for a short woodland walk. After stretching your legs in the beauty of Scotland's woods, the return journey will bring you to the charming village of Dunkeld, in Macbeth country, where a stunning cathedral sits by the banks of the River Tay. You'll also pass the iconic Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the return leg before arriving back into the city at around 17:15.
