From Dubai: Private Full-Day Al Ain Cultural Tour with Lunch

What you'll do

One hour and a half drive from Dubai, the city of Al Ain is one of the oldest remaining inhabited settlements in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! We will take you to a blooming, picturesque and cultural journey to the capital' s "garden city" or "oasis city" of Al Ain. The city has a special place in the heart of the Emirates and its people by being the birthplace of the Late Sheikh Zayed, the Founder of the UAE. Therefore we consider it a "must see" for a fully understanding of the country' past and vision of the future. Think about lush green oasis in the middle of the desert, ancient forts, enchanting camels and breathtaking views of mountains.. You are in Al Ain!

At this point of the tour we will get to learn about one of the largest forts in the UAE( built in 1890),previously known as the summer residence of the ruling Al Nahyan family. Later it was transformed into a tourist attraction and cultural center. The main exhibition dedicated to Sir Wilfred Thesiger( photographer, travel writer and explorer who crossed the Empty Quarter desert in the 1940' s) and the surrounding park filled of palm trees are just some of the things that you will enjoy here!

We consider the Palace Museum the perfect place to deepen he culture and traditions of the UAE. The Palace houses an impressive collection of documents on the ruling Al Nahyan family and it was built in the traditional architectural style of the Bedouins in 1937. Here we will see the private rooms and gardens once occupied by Sheikh Zayed and his family until 1966, when they moved to Abu Dhabi.

  • 3

At the foot of the mountains there is Green Mubazzarah Park, the perfect place to be in Al Ain. We will take a scenic walk here, trough the cool alleys, hot springs, a man- made lake, waterfalls and the traditional irrigation system specific to the United Arab Emirates called "falaj" dating back 3,000 years.

  • 4

This famous Camel market is one of the oldest and among the last remaining in the UAE, located 15 km from the city center of Al Ain. Camels have a special value in UAE culture and here we will have the opportunity to get closer to these friendly animals, take pictures with them and follow the locals who are coming up for the haggle.

  • 5

Al Ain city is known for its natural scenic views mostly because of its mountains and green oasis. The Jebel Hafeet mountain is the perfect place for our guests to take the perfect photos of the city from above!

  • 6

Our Tour in the "oasis city" cannot be absolute without visiting the largest of Al Ain' s oasis. Our guests will have an authentic experience of one of the most prized natural beauties in desert. We will walk around the oasis full of more than 147, 000 date palms and see how the fruits are being collected. Also we will get an insight about the still- operative traditional "falaj"( ancient underground irrigation system).
