Woerden Cheese Experience

What you'll do

Step inside the only working cheese warehouse in the Netherlands that you can visit with a ticket to the Cheese Experience in Woerden. You'll be personally guided by one of the enthusiastic guides who know everything worth knowing about cheese and Woerden. Watch a cheese film, discover the finesse of cheesemaking, and learn everything about the process that produces one of the country's favourite snacks. You'll also see how merchants store their cheeses with a visit to the _kaasopleg_, the storage space where cheeses ripen. If you're visiting with kids, then they can get involved too! Milk the cow, get weighed on the special cheese scale and take the cheese quiz. If you're a real cheese connoisseur, then you might get to see a master at work – produce is regularly made by a real cheesemaker.
