What you'll do
The Campania region in Italy is known for its food, and its capital city of Naples, a hotbed of Michelin-starred cuisine, is at the heart of it. With your local host, try Neapolitan ragù – a hearty, slow-cooked tomato sauce – and cuoppo di mare, a variety of deep-fried seafood, then pop to a grocery store for buffalo mozzarella. Sample the street food of choice, fritto misto (a mix of fried foods) and enjoy locally produced wine with appetizers. End on a sweet note with ricotta-stuffed sfogliatella or rum-soaked baba and a Neapolitan espresso. Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.
