Private Loch Ness Circular and Whisky Distillery Tasting

This is a fantastic local tour of Inverness, Loch Ness and surrounding areas with many iconic attractions. Starting off from in and around Inverness we head off towards Dores village and Loch Ness. This route is less commercial than the alternative route. Then its onwards through Foyers Village with an optional walk down to view the Falls of Foyers waterfall (reasonable degree of fitness and robust footwear suggested) or for the less energetic perhaps a coffee or other refreshment in the Village Cafe. Its then onto Fort Augustus where we can take a photo stop and comfort break. Continuing around Loch Ness we will stop at Urquhart Castle where you can make observations and take photographs from the car park or take an option to enter the Castle grounds and get close up to the building. Leaving Urquhart Castle we travel through Drumnadrochit and travel over Culnakirk Hill Route which will take us to Beauly and a visit to 12th Century Beauly Priory and optional refreshment stop or browse quality shopping destination. Leaving Beauly its onto Glen Ord Distillery and a tasting visit or browse around the Distillery shop. This Distillery is said to date back to 1820. Then its on to a visit to the mystic "Clootie Well" an ancient healing well (subject to weather as it can become very muddy) . Like all my tours this tour follows the itinerary at your pace. You may exclude items or add items to the itinerary as you see fit and spend as long or as short a time at attractions as you wish. Basically it is your day out and myself and my vehicle will be at your disposal for the day.
