Wine day tour from Alba, Piedmont

Welcome to Piedmont! On this wine day tour you'll be able to enjoy an amazing wine day experience with a personal driver bringing you to discover special locations in this area of Alba. You'll be picked up at your hotel by 9.30 am, meet your personal english speaking driver and reach the first winery within 30 minutes drive. We're in the heart of the Langhe and Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here the land has a unique ‘fragrance’ – a character all its own left by the sea millions of years ago as it retreated. This is married to a mild climate: in spring the area benefits from the “Foehn” winds from the Alps and in the summer the “Marin” from the Ligurian coast, 70km away. This happy marriage of soil and climate gives unique aromas, flavors and freshness to our wines. During your first winery tour, you'll meet a family business company for a special Monferrato tour. You enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and winery, with an explanation of the territory of Monferrato and subsequent tasting of the 6 most representative wines of the company. Tasting starts with Grignolino, then goes to the three Barbere d'Asti, ending in sweetness with the tasting of the most typical Monferrato, Moscato d'Asti. Everything is paired with a rich plate of cold cuts and cheeses. After the wine tasting you'll go to Canelli for a special lunch in a local restaurant absolutely off the beaten tracks that will let you taste the typical dishes of Piedmont (please let us know if you have any intollerances or allergies). This will be a 4 dishes menu in a familiar atmosphere.  At the end of the lunch the driver will bring you to visit the second and last winery of the day for a 2 hours experience and with completely different approach.  You'll be then brought back to the hotel by 5.30 pm
