Petrovardin is a fortress built on a rock on the Danube River. It was built in 1692 and completed in 1780. It guards the Danube and is the earliest symbol of Novi Sad. It is called "Gibraltar on the Danube". There have been many wars in history. In 1948, it was listed as a national historical monument. On the fortress, in addition to visiting the clock tower, overlooking the Danube, you can also visit the museum of Novi Sad. Overlooking the entire city of Novi Sad on the observation deck of Petrovaradin Fortress.
