September rhymes with grape harvest! Experience this special period doing some grape picking with your colleagues at a small family winery. Cut, crush, stomp, wine-taste and laugh a lot! An unusual team building activity in the heart of Beaujolais where it is not about profitability but just pleasure.
Itinerary
- 1At approximately 9:00 a.m, your group will be whisked away from Lyon and transported to the exquisite Beaujolais wine region in a comfortable minibus/coach. Upon arrival, you will have the pleasure of meeting our passionate winegrower, who will unveil the morning's delightful "surprise" team building activity. After a brief initiation into the art of harvesting, pairs will be formed and participants will be equipped with seals and secateurs, ready to embark on a grape-picking adventure. For a blissful 30-40 minutes, the group will leisurely stroll through the picturesque rows of vines, immersed in a convivial atmosphere as they delicately cut the clusters of grapes. It goes without saying that capturing this precious moment with photos is a must!
- 2Subsequently, it will be time to return to the estate, where cases of grapes will be unloaded and arranged in a circle. Here, participants will have the esteemed honour and sheer joy of stomping the freshly picked bunches, indulging in a truly unique experience. At around 11:45 am, as the sun reaches its zenith, the group will be invited to partake in an aperitif, savouring the flavours of a white and rosé wine meticulously crafted by the esteemed winemaking family. A delectable lunch awaits upstairs, where participants will relish in the exquisite traditional cuisine of the harvest, lovingly prepared by the winemaker's talented wife. On the menu, a tantalising Beaujolaise salad, succulent coq au vin, and a tantalising dessert, all accompanied by the estate's finest red wines.
- 3As the afternoon unfolds, a plethora of activities will be presented to the group, including a friendly pétanque tournament, an enchanting visit to the mediaeval town of Oingt, or a leisurely stroll amidst the enchanting vineyards. As the clock nears 5:00 pm, the group will be returned to Lyon, bidding farewell to an unforgettable "Harvest" Team Building day.
- 4Optional: The harvest team building activity can be condensed to a half-day in the morning or afternoon, with the possibility of enjoying a delightful dinner in the evening.
